Beginning of Quantum Mechanics Self Study

The purpose of my self-study of quantum mechanics is to prepare for the pursuit of astrophysics research. I currently hold a Bachelor’s of Science in Aerospace Engineering which gives me the necessary background aside from quantum mechanics. My quantum mechanics background thus far has only been the casual reading of two books:

Quantum Mechanics: The Theoretical Minimum by Leonard Susskind and Art Friedman.

Something Deeply Hidden by Sean Carroll.

I plan to expand on my knowledge of quantum mechanics by working problems given in textbooks typically used at the undergraduate quantum mechanics level, beginning with the textbook, Quantum Mechanics: A Paradigms Approach by David H. McIntyre.

Given the plethora of sample problems in the textbook above, I will start by reading each chapter and completing the sample problems by hand. I plan to summarize the key parts of each chapter with my thoughts on the subject material and do not plan to post any solutions to sample problems online. I may choose to later create scripts for fun widgets based on quantum mechanics principles to be included on this site if I have time, though.
